Rock Wall289 viewsOn the back of the playground is the 7' rock wall. After this picture was taken we added a knotted rope to aid in the climb. William will have to grow into this one a bit.

Outside view.284 viewsHere's an outside view with all doors closed. the 'walk-in' door is a double 'Dutch' door. The 'garage' door was made out of corrugated plastic ('coro') -- more details on that in the coming pictures.

The Old Deck283 viewsThe last picture we took of the old deck before it was demolished. The rose bushes, which had just flowered, were cut back and later moved to the side of the house, where they are doing well.

Brush cleared280 views...after we cleared out all the brush. This pic was taken after we took out enough brush to "prove the concept" that the garage could really go here. We later cleaned it up even more before we put the building in place.

Starting out265 viewsWe started on a rainy Tuesday, fortunately mostly working in the garage. The plans gave a detailed "cut list" and we cut out and labeled all the pieces, as well as rounded over the edges with a router for safety. In this picture, you can see one of the framing pieces after assembly, some of the smaller cut-outs, and the slide. The huge box is the "Turbo Slide", which you'll see coming up.

The "before" pic.264 viewsAt first we weren't sure where we'd put the 'garage' in our yard. Then Cathy spotted this particular spot -- nothing but overgrown vines and shrubs, next to an old bench that we moved there when we built the kid's play center. Doesn't look like much but it was a surprising amount of room...
