Shop Room477 viewsAs noted above, 'shop' was no longer offered at M-T in recent years, so the portions of the room which didn't become the distance learning center kind of reverted to a messy storeroom. When the building was first built in the 1930's, this area, along with the band room coming up, was the school gym and auditorium -- you can still see the Proscenium arch in the upper right of this picture.

They've obviously updated it -- new ceilings, doors, etc. But that cool checkerboard floor goes back to when the building was built in the 1930's. Incidentally the old doors that were there when Tim was in school used these huge skeleton keys that each teacher had to carry around...
