It's finished!356 viewsHere's an inside view of the 'workshop' area. We hung up pegboard and put in a small workbench. You can also see the finished window, which opens out.

Siding work350 viewsAt this point, the back and sides (minus the gables) were complete, and Tim was working on siding the front. The garage door won't get it's final wood trim until the roll-up door is complete.

Walls assembled...338 viewsIn this pic, you can see we got the four walls assembled together and temporarily braced. Everything looks darker in this pic because a brief, surprise rain shower made everything damp...

Siding and painting trim324 viewsWe moved the garage near it's final location so we could put the siding on it. It was still very heavy even though it lacked a roof and siding... Here Cathy works on painting the door trim.

Working on the Roof317 viewsSince the siding was complete, we could move the garage to its final position (since it has bushes on sides, it would have been hard to side in place. Here Tim works on the shingles.

Roof framing308 viewsHere you can see the roof framing in progress. We used 2x4's for the roof, to give it more strength.

Walls being built300 viewsWe started building the garage on the driveway. This picture was taken while working on the walls. We used a pressure-treated 2x4 sole plate which will rest directly on the ground, and 2x2's for the wall framing. 2x2's were used to help keep weight and costs down, and becuase they should be more than sufficient for this use.
