It has much larger "windows" (actually there open screens), it isn't nearly as crowded, and the views are just as nice. This picture shows Pennsylvania Avenue looking toward the Capitol.

WWII Memorial317 viewsWe took a lot of pictures here since this memorial was brand new -- it was dedicated only 2 months before our vacation. We both felt this memorial was very well done, and a beautiful place to honor the many who served in this conflict. The memorial incorporates a lot of water and fountains, adding significantly to the beauty.

Udvar-Hazy Center: National Air and Space Museum316 viewsOne of the hilights of our trip was visiting the National Air and Space Museum's new Udvar-Hazy center. This museum just opened in December 2003, and is located near Dulles Airport. We weren't sure we'd have time to get there, but we were sure glad we did.
