It was the very tractor used in the Nebraska horsepower tests - the tests that provide the "official" horsepower specs for the entire model line. Interestingly enough, the tractor has been in the same family its whole life - they bought it from Deere a couple years after it was produced, and used it up until the late 1990's, when they decided to restore it.

Historically, this room was the "coal room" for the boiler room, and was later used as a student lounge. Evidently on the last day of school, they let students take some of the decorated ceiling tile panels, hence the missing ones.

We have converted most of the almond trim and doors to white, but we left this railing almond, knowing it was just going to be replaced soon anyway.
