All Caged Up337 viewsMuch to Bailey's chagrin, William sometimes likes to come to visit him. Sometimes he'll open the door and crawl right in. Fortunately, Bailey is a very tolerant dog.

Bend in the Bridge336 viewsOne very unique thing about this bridge is that there is a bend (turn) in the middle of it. This was to help with boats navigating the river, but must have made driving tricky. The bridge itself wasn't much wider than a modern traffic lane, but held two lanes of opposing traffic.

The Engine336 viewsHere's the engine itself. At Keystone, our "turn around" point, they stopped the train, disconnected the engine, and moved it to what was formerly the rear of the train. So on the way back to Hill City, the engine was facing the "right" direction. This was different than the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge which we took a few years earlier in Durango, Colorado, where they turned the entire train around on a wye.
