Falls of the Ohio387 viewsWe also stopped by the Falls of the Ohio, which is supposed to be a large, exposed fossil area, but we didn't get to see this because it was all underwater! Turns out the area had been flooding all summer (quite unlike Minnesota which was bone dry during the same period). We still got to walk along the overflowing river, and take some great pictures of the falls and surrounding area.

Pneumatic Mine Train Engine387 viewsWe opted to do the Black Hills Mining Museum over the Homestake tour. The mining museum was very interesting, and had very detailed displays of how mining worked through the ages.
