Door installed and Trim PrimingThe next step was to install the roll-up door, which was fairly straightforward, and install the trim around the opening. Then we needed to finish priming all of the bare wood. The siding was pre-primed, but all of the trim, soffits, and fascia boards needed priming. Here Cathy primes the trim near the roll-up door.

Snoopy LoveThey say kids today are quickly forgetting (or never knowing) who Snoopy was. William surely knows, and loves Snoopy. This blow mold Snoopy was new to our display this year.

Bend in the BridgeOne very unique thing about this bridge is that there is a bend (turn) in the middle of it. This was to help with boats navigating the river, but must have made driving tricky. The bridge itself wasn't much wider than a modern traffic lane, but held two lanes of opposing traffic.

Lower-level classroomTim's 7th grade year, this room was a dedicated study hall. Then when the elementary came over, they actually divided it in two (you can see the lighter tile strip where the wall used to be) to become two very small classrooms.

During: Sink/counter areaAt this stage we've removed all the tile from the room (except for behind the toilet, which we tried to keep in service as long as possible), tore out the old countertop, installed the new sink/countertop, and tiled the entire tub area and back wall. The mirror was removed to protect it during tile removal.

Sand PyramidDaddy and William spent some time building a Sand Pyramid. Why a pyramid? I have no idea, other than we lacked any type of tools other than our hands, and it seemed a good idea at the time.
