Penguin and Puffin Coast374 viewsAnother unique exhibit was the Penguin and Puffin Coast, which was brand new for the season we were there. The penguins and puffins were so close to you you could have touched them (I might have tried if it wasn't for the zookeepers nearby).

Jewel Box374 viewsNear the zoo is a conservatory called the Jewel Box. It had recently been restored before we visited, so it looked great inside. The design of the building, which was built in the 1930's, was somewhat unique for a greenhouse in that all the glass panes are perpendicular to the ground. This was to help prevent hail damage.
