Churchill Downs298 viewsOur first stop was the Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchill Downs. Neither of us had the slightest clue when it came to horse racing or the Kentucky Derby, but the museum explained it all and was quite interesting.

Louisville Slugger Factory281 viewsOur next stop was the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum. Here is where they make the world-famous wooden bats. We went on the tour, and got to take home a 'mini-bat' as well. Outside the factory is a huge bat, which we posed with here.

Falls of the Ohio244 viewsWe also stopped by the Falls of the Ohio, which is supposed to be a large, exposed fossil area, but we didn't get to see this because it was all underwater! Turns out the area had been flooding all summer (quite unlike Minnesota which was bone dry during the same period). We still got to walk along the overflowing river, and take some great pictures of the falls and surrounding area.
