First Model 720 producedThis 720 tractor had the serial number "7200000". It was the very tractor used in the Nebraska horsepower tests - the tests that provide the "official" horsepower specs for the entire model line. Interestingly enough, the tractor has been in the same family its whole life - they bought it from Deere a couple years after it was produced, and used it up until the late 1990's, when they decided to restore it. 840 ScraperTim was quite enamored with this huge model 840 scraper, mainly because he played with a toy version of it as a kid. It was definitely fun to see the real thing, beautifully restored.Jul 03, 2007

First Model 730 ShippedThe plaque reads: "This 730 gas row crop was the first 730 to be shipped from the John Deere Waterloo Works. It was part of a group of three tractors that were shipped to Madison, Wis., on July 31, 1958. The other two tractors were a 530 and a 630, making that grouping the first 30 series tractors to leave the factory. This 730 was found in a barn in northern Illinois in the spring of 2006. A 240-hour restoration was just completed by Jeff McManus. It is proudly owned by the Darick L. Franzen family.Jul 03, 2007
