| Custer State Park |

Custer State Park is arguably one of the most beautiful places in South Dakota. We spent a lot of time enjoying this park as well as neighboring Harney Peak (of which we have another album dedicated to).
One of the great things about Custer State Park is the amount of wildlife that you will see. We were fortunate to see many buffalo (or bison), antelope, prairie dogs, deer, elk, and many other animals.

BuffaloAt first we were having trouble finding buffalo, and then we ended up finding a huge herd-- many of them crossing or standing by the road!

Mr. BisonHere's one solitary bison looking like he doesn't mind his photo taken at all.

BurroBurros will come right up to your car and beg for food. Bailey, who was with us in the car, was quite intrigued with them! I also had Cathy pose with one of them for a cute photo opportunity.

Needles HighwayOne of our favorite areas of Custer State Park is the Needles Highway. There are so many scenic views and overlooks. Here, Cathy poses on a rock outcropping with Bailey.

Needles HighwayAnother "self timer" shot. The two of us look goofier, but Bailey's "tilted head" pose makes it worth including.

The Needles EyeLast but not least, the famous "needles eye".
