| Badlands National Park |

Our first stop in South Dakota (other than a brief stop at the Corn Palace-- see the Misc Attractions album for that) was the Badlands. As such, we took lots of pictures of this very beautiful land. We tried to thin these down to the best pictures, but we still ended up with lots of pictures.
After the fact, we learned that dogs aren't supposed to be allowed in the park, other than in parking lots and along roads. I really don't know why this is, I suppose too many irresponsible dog owners didn't pick up after their pets. Oddly enough, we certainly weren't the only folks with dogs on the days we visited. Perhaps during the off-season, this isn't as much enforced... In any case, Bailey behaved himself beautifully.
